Artist Statement 2013

My current work reflects a lot about my views on life. Music and traveling are my main loves in life and a majority of my artwork incorporates one of those ideas in it. My work is aimed towards viewers with similar interests as me, generally teenagers or anyone from the ages of 12-30. I grew up in love with adventure and doing crazy things which reflects a lot of my work that has to do with traveling and nature. I try and incorporate a lot of color into my pieces and really emphasize the colors. The world is filled with beauty,wonder, and adventure and i try and show this through the extreme use of color and creativeness in my pieces. I have a crazy imagination and am obsessed with the unknown which is why a lot of my pieces have space themes. I like to use photoshop and digital programs for my artwork and i aim to use my photos in a majority of my projects and manipulate them in many ways to make the viewer see things as they normally wouldn't. I plan to go to college and major in Environmental Sustainability but minor in Digital Media. I will forever continue to make digital artwork and manipulate my own photos as i travel and broaden my photography base.
